The Archipelago
The Lunar Vault is the underground section and was originally going to be the only part of Project: MOON. But the idea later flourished for an above ground counterpart, which led to Neighbor Luna. The Lunar Vault was inspired by the ideas of the City of Ember, and the Fallout series vaults, in that it wanted an underground settlement, built with connecting tunnels, various rooms, and one primary entrance. It was also inspired slightly by Freedonia’s own Quarryton.
Originally with a much smaller size in mind, before the relocation, Neighbor Luna easily doubled its size and to date is one of the biggest villages of active Freedonia. The main idea for it was to have a series of consecutive circles that would act as roads, although leaving one quarter or “Quadrant” for SkullbuilderX‘s own projects. The center circle would have a big park, followed by farmland, and the other roads would have houses and other places of interest.
Once slated to be built off of a local island chain after the infamous housing was completed, The Archipelago instead took priority as fear of someone claiming the land during the wait became prevalent. Built for the better part of a year, it offers many amenities that would not fit inside the contraints of Neighbor Luna. Today it houses the Sol Tunnels Hub, Monument of Heroes, the Mushiana Harbour, and a handful of local embassies.
I do have a single player copy of Project MOON that I have tried my best to keep update to date, however this was a special privilege granted to me by Admins. Server policy is that world downloads are not allowed, and as such I can not put up a copy for you all. The good news is you can go visit right now on the server! In the event that Freedonia does go offline one day though, I will reconsider putting it up for download so it isn’t lost to history.
